IGNOU Re-Registration 2026

IGNOU Re-Registration 2026

IGNOU re-registration is basically the process that allows existing students to continue their studies in the next semester or year. If you are already studying at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), you need to re-register every year or semester to stay enrolled in your programme. Without completing this step, you won’t be able to move forward in your course.

The process is quite simple and fully online. Students have to visit the official portal, log in using their enrolment details, and select the subjects or courses for the upcoming session. After that, they need to pay the required programme fee. Unlike fresh admission, there is no separate re-registration fee, which makes it more convenient.

It is important to complete re-registration before the deadline. If you miss it, you might have to pay a late fee or even delay your studies. Also, once the form is submitted, changes cannot be made, so details should be checked carefully.

Overall, re-registration is a very important step in an IGNOU student’s journey, as it ensures continuity in learning and helps in completing the degree on time.

What is IGNOU Re-Registration?

IGNOU Re-Registration is the process of enrolling in the next semester or year of your program. It is only for existing IGNOU students, not for fresh admission seekers. Regardless of whether your assignments or term-end exams are completed, you must re-register to continue your program.
