Types of IGNOU Grade Cards

IGNOU Grade Card Status Meaning

Completed You have successfully passed the course (assignment + exam)
Not Completed You have not yet passed one or more components
Assignment Not Submitted Your assignment marks are missing or not submitted
Exam Not Attempted You did not appear in the Term-End Exam (TEE)
Marks Not Updated Your marks are yet to be uploaded or processed
Absent You were absent in the examination
Re-appear / Backlog You need to reappear for the exam or resubmit assignment
Grade Card Incomplete Some subjects or marks are still missing

How Grades Are Calculated

When is the Grade Card Updated?

IGNOU updates grade cards in phases after:

  3. Practical marks (if any) are uploaded.

For example:

  • June TEE – Updates happen between July and September.

  • December TEE – Updates happen between January and March.
